If you’re the kind of indie pop fan that wears your heart on your sleeve, you can count on Bedroom Walls to wipe their tears somewhere else. On their just-released All Good Dreamers Pass This Way, the L.A. septet find a million ways to make heartbreak sound sorta pleasant. The Walls’ songs are bathed in strings, glockenspiel, piano, horns, electric organ and lambent guitar atmospherics, but it wouldn’t be quite right to call them “lush” – Bedroom Walls aren’t interested in making grand statements, they just want to help you get through the parade of sad moments that always seems to accompany the summer. The listless tempos perfectly capture that glassy daze you walk around in for a week after you break up with your significant other, and Adam Goldman’s world-weary croon dips and soars with the resoluteness of somebody who's figured out how to get through it.
