The 2009 Beaujolais Nouveau makes its debut at a special wine tasting and dinner at Pop Champagne & Dessert Bar organized by the Alliance Française de Pasadena, Sunday, November 22 from 4:00 to 10:00 P.M. Pop Champagne & Dessert Bar has developed a special three course menu to complement the exciting new vintage. Starting with a Soupe Ratatouille, the dinner proceeds to a main course of Coquille St Jacques Cordon Bleu served with prosciutto, and concludes with a pear tart poached in Champagne topped with glace à la vanilla, vanilla bean ice cream. There will also be opportunities to bid on grand prizes from area merchants, as well as a case of the new vintage courtesy of eminent Beaujolais producer Georges Duboeuf, flights on a Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft, helicopter rides, paintings and prints by French artists and other auction items.

The Alliance Française de Pasadena was founded in 1924. Its purpose is to encourage the study of the French language and culture and promote understanding and friendship between French people and others who share these interests. The Pasadena chapter differs from other language schools by offering a blend of language learning and cultural immersion.
