Author Yann Martel will read from his upcoming book, Beatrice and Virgil,.The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Limited parking will be available in the Central Library garage for a $5 special event rate.Beatrice and Virgil tells the tale of an author named Henry who goes on a journey with a donkey and a monkey after receiving an intriguing package from a taxidermist.Martel is the author of Life of Pi, which won the 2002 Man Booker Prize. He lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.This program is presented in partnership with The Elliott Bay Book Co.
