Beat the Heat - Cllimate Change Research Fundraiser August 21, 2007

Enjoy icy cocktails, hot hors d'oeuvvres and a cool silent auction over looking the Charles River. Proceeds will benefit Earthwatch Institutes global climate research program. Earthwatch is the world's largest environmental volunteer organization. Understanding that global warming is the most urgent environmental issue we face, Earthwatch supports critical field research on climate adaptation and mitigation in nineteen different locations worldwide. From measuring the impact temperature increase has on the fragile rainforests of North Queensland, Australia to monitoring the Arctica's vast stores of greenhouse gases in Manitoba, Canada, Earthwatch volunteers collect data 365 days a year that contribute to global understanding and action.
