Beat Circus is a Boston-based carney-band outfit - an eclectic group of musicians who collaborate with circus performers, burlesque dancers, comedians, and acrobats. They create a music which is a fiction of the past, a crazy burlesque circus with touches of 1920s vaudeville, circus music, and burlesque. The New York Howl formed in the depths of NYC's downtown underground in July 2005. Their energetic live shows deliver raw punk energy, soulful uplifting gospel, dirty blues and uncomfortable silence. The Nervous Cabaret combines highly eclectic influences extending from '70s London punk, devotional vocal styling and Django influenced rhythm guitar, to create music which breaks apart the typical crossovers of jazz and rock music.
