Beach Walk July 5, 2009

Come along on a leisurely 45- to 60-minute walk with a ranger and learn about what makes Padre Island National Seashore such a special and important place. On this walk, you may observe a ghost crab digging its burrow, a pelican diving for its catch, or railroad vines holding the vast dunes steady. The beach walk may cover a wide range of topics concerning the island's natural and cultural history, as well as issues and problems facing the National Seashore today. Please remember to bring your hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from the elements. This gentle walk is suitable for all ages.
