Two talks on very different topics at this month's BayCHI.

*****************
"Web.Overdrive" - A Day in the Life of an Enterprise User Experience Designer - Jeremy Ashley & Luke Kowalski, Oracle

Jeremy and Luke will talk about what happens when Web 2.0 user interfaces are adapted to the enterprise. Luke Kowalski is the corporate UI architect and helps with technology policy, while Jeremy Ashley is Vice President of Applications User Experience at Oracle.

****************************
Going from designer to founder
Christina Wodtke, Public Square

Sick of fighting with engineers and product managers, tired of executives driven by quarterly reports, we've all dreamed of taking that giant step and starting our own company. Christina will tell you about what she learnt when she took the plunge and discovered nothing was quite what she expected.

Christina Wodtke cofounded Cucina Media and is the creator of PublicSquare.

More info about the event is here.

************************

Join us for drinks after the talk (~9.15 PM). We will head to La Bodeguita del Medio (at 463 S California Ave, Palo Alto).

Are these meetings ever in the city?

rashmisinha

Unfortunately no :-> There has been interest in a BayCHI group in the city, and there used to be a mobile BOF. But has not happened in a while.

The main program meetings are always at PARC, Palo Alto.

I don't think I can make this one, but if there's anyone driving from the city next time around, please let me know. I'd greatly appreciate the ride. Cheers.
