A FREE day of fun, adventure and hands-on science for kids of all ages! Look inside a human body with portable ultrasound technology, make ice cream with liquid nitrogen, “see” cell phone signals, search for intelligent life in outer space, or operate a robot that climbs a pole and throws a beach ball. The action-packed day has exciting activities for all ages, guided by the region's top scientists, engineers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Save a droid ICU patient, create a pulsar, extract DNA, drive robots, eat liquid nitrogen, and more! Part of the first annual Bay Area Science Festival, a weeklong series of events designed to ignite the imagination and introduce the fun of science with amazing experiments and projects for families, with 100 free events culminating in Discovery Day at San Francisco’s AT&T Park on Sunday, November 6.
