Battle of the Bands - The Power of Youth - United Way February 20, 2010

JOIN US & FIGHT AGAINST DRUG ABUSE!

The Power of Youth is a 24-member council of high school students that represent the nine public high schools in Porter County. These students have taken leadership to a new level by hosting the nine-band Battle of the Bands. The bands will compete to be the best in the county and the winner will receive an eight-hour recording session courtesy of Willowtree Recording Studio with producer Josh Walker of Transient Media.

FIGHTING DRUG ABUSE IN PORTER COUNTY

Participating students have set a goal to raise $8,000 to be granted out and utilized for the challenge of raising awareness and funds for teen substance abuse prevention and treatment programs in Porter County. Proceeds from Battle of the Bands will go to support this cause.
