BATTLE FOR THE STANDARD is based on a little known historical event during the Renaissance in Italy.
Leonardo DaVinci and Michelangelo are commissioned to paint enormous frescoes in a head-to-head artistic competition, pitting the two hotheaded rivals against each other. Tempers, jealousy and violence might stop the competition before it begins.
Raphael quickly learns that becoming an artist in Florence requires more than just wielding a paintbrush.
