In 1943, with World War II raging across Europe, Sophie Scholl is one of the few female members of a group of college students at the University of Munich mounting an underground resistance to Hitler and the Third Reich. Calling themselves the White Rose, they battle Hitler's Reich armed with nothing but political leaflets and anti-Hitler graffiti. Caught red-handed distributing anti-Nazi pamphlets with her brother Hans, she is incarcerated, interrogated, and brought to justice according to the Nazi laws of the time.
