Bastards of Boom August 7, 2008

This New York area band mixes Brazilian rythums with rock and world music. Bastards of Boom was formed in 2004 when drummers from Escola de Samba Boom started a side project that mixed traditional Brazilian rhythms with a guitar synth wall of sound and rock drums, thus "bastardizing" the whole arrangement. They've since added bass, sampler and vocals.
