Bass Nasty AfterBurn
September 6th, 2008
The Darkroom (60 6th St SF)
Bass Nastiness is the theme in any MALLABEL event, but fresh from the desert burn, the Bay Area production company goes a different direction on September 6th 2008. Known for working with bass busting DJs, MalLabel reaches out to the live music scene, this time presenting San Francisco's MO2 (mo2music.com).

MO2 has developed a unique and explosive sound by combining four-on-the-floor dance breaks with contagious pop hooks and ethereal progressions, allowing them national recognition in their debut year. They are a "very determined and talented band performing with palpable joy and intense respect for one another, demonstrating the power of simplicity and organic melodies." (HMGN Music).

Sweat. Get wet. KITTY-D (myspace.com/kittyology) warms up the dance floor with a big bass sound and hip hop flavor; cutting edge electronic mind altering music for the moment that is.

EL DIABLO (www.eldiablosf.com) from Audio 8 and Dhamaal crews, spins out dirty global beats infected with BASS, NASTINESS and also will be performing a live turntablist set with the Genie on Scratch Guitar FX.

The GENIE (thegeniemusic.com), inventor of the scratch guitar, whose multi-layered compositions sound more like a DJ producing beats than a live guitarist, will be remixing Nick Argon, Bassnectar, Cheb I Sabbah and more.

While the beats are rattling eardrums, eyes will widen to the cutting-edge live visual stimulus produced by VJs Contact (Surya Dub), who will be triggering & remixing the video live, in sync with the beats

Dress up, dress down, don't wear anything at all. Return with us from the Playa!
Be creative with your costume and get $2 off at the door ($10).
Look out for costumed ILANIOWEAR ladies prowling the dance floor
