Basketry Plants Used by Western American Indians October 22, 2010

Presenting his latest book titled Basketry Plants used by Western American Indians, basketweaver and instructor Justin Farmer shares highlights form his 40+ years of research into the art of Western Indian basketry. Lecture includes demonstration of approx. 30 baskets from his personal collection, each of which contains one or more of the 37 plants addressed in his book. Guests will be given the opportunity to inspect baskets and samples of the plants discussed. Book signing and light reception will follow lecture and demonstration. Preregistration appreciated.
