Basant is one the most celebrated festival of Lahore. It was banned 2 years ago due to increase in injuries and causalities by falling of roof tops while flying kites and being cut by kite strings.

The ban would be lifted for basant this year for one night and day. Government has made committee to ensure the safety of people.
