Barrel of Monkeys' Celebration of Authors 2010 June 8, 2010

Barrel of Monkeys' annual 'Celebration of Authors' performance is always anticipated. After teaching creative writing in Chicago's public school system, BOM's ensemble of actors, comedians, musicians and playwrights selects and adapts some of the hundreds of stories generated by children taught in the current school year for stage presentation. At the end of each year, the group presents this special performance where the student authors and their families are invited to see their work performed on the public stage. Audience members have the rare opportunity to meet the authors, the teachers and principals from the schools BOM members have worked with in this school year.
