ASHLAND, Ohio – The Ashland University Center of Religious Life will be sponsoring a February concert that will feature Christian rock band BarlowGirl and opening group Me In Motion. The concert will be held on February 4th at 7 p.m. in Hugo Young Theatre.

With 10 Dove Award nominations, the longest No. 1 single in Christian Radio Weekly Chart history and a recently released album, Barlow Girl will be headlining the University’s annual Christian concert featuring many of their beautiful and powerful ballads from their six released albums to date.

The newest album from BarlowGirl, “Our Journey…So Far,” is now on sale and is a collection of their favorite songs from their previous five albums, including “Never Alone,” “I Need You To Love Me,” “Let Go” and “Mirror.”

BarlowGirl consists of sisters Alyssa (lead vocals, bass, keyboard), Becca (backing vocals, guitar) and Lauren Barlow (lead vocals, drums). This all-girl band has been performing since the late 1990s and is currently touring to churches and other venues around the country.

Me In Motion, comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Seth Mosley, bassist Tim Wilson and drummer Brian Dexter, will be opening for BarlowGirl. The group is an up-and-coming Christian rock act, having released their first full album, “Me In Motion,” in March of this year and having songs on the Christian rock charts already.

Tickets for the concert are $15 in advance, $12 for groups of 10 or more, $20 the day of the show and $2 for Ashland University students with AU ID. Tickets can be purchased at the AU Box office by calling 419-289-5125 M-F, noon-6 p.m.
