Bari Koral's soulful music and smart pop hooks combine here with family-friendly lyrics and sensibility. Her musicality took root in the Off-Broadway theatres of New York City, where she began performing at age thirteen. Later, she discovered the sounds of prominent female artists like Chrissie Hynde and Patti Smith, whose influences can be heard in her own music. On her band's myspace page she describes her music as "Sheryl Crow for kids."
