Barbara Ransby will discuss her award-winning biography of civil rights activist Ella Baker, Ella Baker and the Black Freedom Movement: A Radical Democratic Vision.

Dr. Barbara Ransby, historian, author and longtime political activist, is professor of Gender and Women's Studies, African American Studies and History at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
