Born in Anguilla in 1953, Bankie Banx is one of the finest artists/musicians/songwriters in the Caribbean. With the release of his first Album 'Roots and Herbs' in 1977, Bankie Banx pioneered reggae music in the Eastern Caribbean. Boasting a sound that blends folk, reggae, R&B, and jazz, he has often been described as a cross between Bob Marley and Bob Dylan - indeed, he is often called the Anguillan Bob Dylan.
