Banh Mi Sandwich THROWDOWN: Monday, July 26th

A BENEFIT for local organizations working to improve school lunches.

Location: Café Gutenberg at 17th and E. Main St.
Doors open at 6:30
Food demo, samples, and judging: 7:00-8:00

Attendance is FREE, but donations will be collected for Chefs Move to Schools and Lunch Boxes 4 Life, two local groups that are improving the nutritional value and quality of meals provided to children in local schools. RSVPs are appreciated on one of the Facebook event pages. Spectators will be offered samples of the contenders’ sandwiches, though supplies will be limited as the chefs are donating their food.

Two categories: The competition will feature a banh mi with meat and a vegan version without any animal products. A winner will be selected in each category.
