The Baltimore Women's Film Festival will be holding an afternoon of promotional film screenings to spread awareness and build support for its inaugural event.

This will be taking place at Red Emma's "2640", located at 2640 St. Paul St. in Baltimore's Charles Village Neighborhood. The 2640 website is here and has directions to the venue. The promotional screening will take place August 25th beginning at 3pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door, or though our website www.bwfilmfestival.com

The feature documentary presentation, "Reconstructing Creole", was produced and directed by Maryland native Jennifer John-Block. This documentary will be followed by a selection of short animated films and comedies chosen from the upcoming festival. 50% of proceeds from the festival will go to the Avon Foundation Breast Center at Johns Hopkins, which provides innovative, integrated, high-quality and cost-effective care for breast cancer patients.
