Baltimore Buddha Day May 7, 2006

Buddha Day is the Buddhist Network of Greater Baltimore's celebration of Vesak, the holiday which commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death of Shakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. We celebrate by offering a service in which the various communities each share some aspect of their traditions. Everyone is always welcome to attend, both Buddhists and non-Buddhists. For those who have an interest in Buddhism, this is a wonderful opportunity to meet representatives of the local practice centers and learn more about them.
