BAMP Project, Hawaii’s premier concert production company, brings the punk rock reggae sounds of Ballyhoo! live on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at The Republik, Hawaii’s newest concert venue. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 15 at the locations listed below.

Embodying the fun of partying and good company, Ballyhoo! built their fan base in Baltimore, Maryland and were constantly on tour to increase the buzz on their music around the states. Started by brothers, lead singer and guitarist Howi Spangler and drummer Donald “Big D”, years ago in their basement, the two are currently joined with the talents of JR Gregory on the bass and Scott Vandrey “DJ Blaze” on the turntables and keyboards. The group has two successful self-released records, 365-Day Weekend in 2000 and Do It for the Money! in 2006. Their third album Cheers! was released under Surfdog Records in 2009, and in 2011, the fourth album Daydreams was released under LAW Records.

Ballyhoo! has shared the stage with popular acts such as SOJA, Matisyahu, Pepper, The Dirty Heads, and more. The group was on MTV’s Top 100 Bands to Watch list and has two downloadable songs, “Cali Girl” and “Paper Dolls”, on the popular video game Rock Band. Their recent tours include 2011 311 Pow Wow Festival, the 2011 311 Caribbean Cruise, Bamboozle 2012, and wrapped up the 2012 Vans Warped Tour this summer. Their latest single “Last Night” from Daydreams is currently played in various alternative radio stations including KUCD Star 101.9 Honolulu, WHFS Baltimore, and KUKQ Phoenix.
