The Idea of BBB is a natural reaction of musicians who are accomplished with not only tools and disciplines, but also DJing and extreme instrumentalism. All that topped with an intense lifetime of research into their own non-Western roots as well as other cultures. In collaborations with artists from Bulgaria, Morocco, Spain, Israel, Iran and through events synchronized with video art and dancers appearing from different places in the space, BBB has created a magical show. ..a semi-circus event. March Fourth Marching Band is a mobile big band spectacular, consisting of a 14-piece horn section (four saxophones, four trombones, five trumpets and tuba), a 10-piece drum/percussion corps, anchored by electric bass (battery powered). The sound is huge, melodic and dynamic, taking audiences on a musical journey around the globe. March Fourth writes and performs its own material and also draws inspiration from an eclectic range of worldwide influences, such as Eastern European Gypsy Brass, samba, funk, afro-beat, big-band, jazz and rock music, as well as television, film, circus and vaudeville.
