Bags to Benches for Bays Mountain Park October 20, 2011

Keep Kingsport Beautiful has selected Bays Mountain Park’s “Bags to Benches” program as our America Recycles Day project. For every 10,000 plastic grocery bags the park collects, The Trex Company will donate a free park bench to Bays Mountain. KKB will hold a week long collection drive November 14-18 in support of “Bags to Benches”. Collection sites will include several schools in the city and county systems, Domtar, and Eastman Chemical Company. In addition, collection barrels are currently located at city hall, the chamber and Bays Mountain Park.
