Bagger Dave’s Legendary Burger Tavern, a unique, full-service, ultra-casual restaurant and bar, will host “What the Ale—Get Your Glass in Here!” on Thursday, August 25 from 6-10 p.m. at Bagger Dave’s, 2972 Coolidge Hwy., Berkley, Mich. Detroit Music Award-nominated artist Robin Horlock will provide live entertainment while guests enjoy free giveaways and specials like $1 off Michigan Craft Beer Samplers. Free samples of two new appetizers—“Santa Fe Sloppy Nachos” and “The Spicy Artichoke” will also be provided.
Guests are invited to come by and enjoy the new addition of an all-season patio and sample the craft beer selection available on draft at the Berkley location for the first time.
Michigan Craft Beer Experts will be on hand to explain the eight different local craft beers available during the event—guests can choose four per sampler—and which burger compliments each brew best. The craft beers will include Bell’s Two Hearted Ale, Arcadia Angler’s Ale, New Holland Full Circle, Bell’s Oberon, Frankenmuth Pilsener, Short’s Nicie Spicie, Sand Dark Horse Raspberry, and Frankenmuth Dry Irish Stout Ale.
“We’re excited to provide a fun evening of great entertainment, delicious food and quality craft beer that will bring the community together in a family-oriented setting,” said Michael Ansley, President and CEO of Bagger Dave’s. “Anyone is welcome to come by this free event to try out our diverse burger menu and enjoy a nice relaxed summer evening with friends and family.”
Bagger Dave’s was founded in 2008 by Michael Ansley. In addition to its original Berkley location, Bagger Dave’s operates three other company-owned restaurants in Michigan. The company also launched a franchise program in 2009 and is targeting Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Kentucky and Illinois for growth. Plans call for opening three Bagger Dave’s locations in 2011 and a total of up to 24 new locations over the next five years either corporately owned or franchised.
Bagger Dave’s has identified a niche in the burger business with a modern interpretation of the old-fashioned neighborhood bar. The burgers are fresh, never frozen, and guests can choose from more than 30 toppings to create their own “legend,” including six cheese choices, three types of buns, six house-made sauces and more. The menu also features hand-cut, double-fried French fries, Dave’s Sweet Potato Chips™, Amazingly Delicious Turkey Black Bean Chili™ and Sloppy Dave’s BBQ™, as well as sandwiches, salads and hand-dipped milkshakes. Guests can also enjoy a glass of wine or a wide selection of local craft beers.
Atmosphere is equally important at Bagger Dave’s. Besides being inviting for adults and kids alike, every restaurant is a reflection of the town it serves, with a localized décor with historical photos displayed throughout.
