Back from Buenos Aires: Adrián Iaies Trio August 12, 2010

MusicFest Vancouver's 10th anniversary is the cue to bring back some favourite international performers who have wowed the festival audiences over the past decade. The decision to invite Argentina’s Adrián Iaies to come back this year was made in a heartbeat, given that his Jazz Series concert was a major highlight of the 2008 festival. The three-time Latin Grammy nominee is returning from Buenos Aires and – even better – he’s bringing Ezequiel Dutil and Pepi Taveira back with him. In the expert hands of these three master musicians, familiar jazz standards are transformed by a seductive shot of tango and Latin rhythms.
