Somewhere between fact and enthusiastically embellished personal fiction – King Khan and The Shrines arose from the mind of King ‘Bama Lama’ Khan. The self-professed grandson of the opium addicted ‘Johnny Thunders of the Sitar’, King Khan and his Sensational Shrines invoke Black Lips, Sun Ra, James Brown and Dirtbombs all at once. With a musical breadth that spans generations and leaps across genres, it’s no wonder that the eponymous front man is just as likely to arrive in a three-piece polyester pantsuit as he is in a leopard print Speedo.

Named one of Rolling Stones Bands to Watch, Tigercity has been selling out shows up and down the East coast and generating buzz from record labels big and small alike.
