Cantori Domino, Los Angeles' premier Bach choir, presents Bach's Circle, a nationally renowned troupe of players and singers who interpret the beautiful cantata arias of the Baroque era with supreme authenticity and grace. Performing in an intimate church setting, these musicians provide audiences the opportunity to truly participate in these masterpieces exquisitely performed, where every nuance of the music is carefully evoked. Performers include Allan Vogel, oboe, first oboe of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra; Janice Tipton, flute; Julie Feves, bassoon; Erika Duke-Kirkpatrick, cello; Patricia Mabee, harpsichord; Alvin Brightbill, tenor; and Maurita Phillips-Thornburgh, soprano, and founding Director of Cantori Domino.

Now in its twentieth season, Cantori Domino has been consistently support by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission for its mission to bring the finest choral works of ancient music to the 21st Century to the Los Angeles audience, live and beautifully performed. The annual Bach's Circle concert is unique in its focus on Bach's works, heard best in their intended church setting: performances that often require a trip to Europe to experience. The fifty member Cantori Domino chorus and orchestra, including many members of the LA Master Chorale as well as studio musicians performing on hundreds of Hollywood scores, showcases the Baroque repertoire. Cantori Domino has performed at the Ford Amphitheater and with Dave Brubeck and the Panharmonic Steel Drum Ensemble. In addition, Cantori regularly commissions works from Composers in Residence and performs them during their regular concert season.
