Avid Pro Tools 101 covers basic Pro Tools principles, giving you what you need to complete a Pro Tools project, from initial set up to final mixdown. The course has been dramatically reworked and updated for Pro Tools 9 software. Whether your project involves recording of live instruments, MIDI sequencing of software synthesizers, or audio looping, this course will give you the basic skills to succeed.

Prerequisites
Most Pro Tools enthusiasts today have at least a passing familiarity with operating a computer. If you consider yourself a computer novice however, you might want to review some basics before the beginning of this course. You will need to know how to complete such tasks as:
Starting up the computer
Using the mouse, standard menus and keyboard commands for standard operating system commands
Locating, moving and renaming files and folders
Opening, saving and closing files
This course focuses on using Pro Tools in a digital audio recording and production environment. The work requires a basic understanding of recording techniques, processes and equipment such as the following:
