Avery Lawrence: Moving a Tree and Arranging Suitcases June 22, 2012

Mixing visual and performance art, Avery Lawrence will perform two pieces, Moving a Tree and Arranging Suitcases, for the opening of his gallery installation.
With an interdisciplinary studio practice bridging video, sculpture, installation, drawing and performance, Lawrence creates works that consider the absurd and futile as metaphors for disintegration as well as our best efforts at preservation. These themes define the narratives of his performances.
Lawrence's work will be on display until August 4th.
