A girl (Cécile de France) fresh from the country gets a job waitressing at a Paris bistro, where many artistic types gather and whom she tries to help using her downhome charm and good sense. Her patrons include an actress (Valeacute;rie Lemercier) desperate to woo a job out of a big Hollywood director (Sydney Pollack), an art patron (Claude Brasseur) who struggles to ditch his impressive collection and a classical pianist (Albert Dupontel) who fights too much with his wife (Laura Morante), who also happens to be his manager.
