AVCon is Australia's largest video games and Japanese anime convention.

Children under 10 free when accompanied by a paying adult. The convention is rated for all-ages.

Founded in 2002, this year marks the 10th event and start of our 10th Anniversary celebrations!

Special guests at this year's event include LittleKuriboh of the YouTube parody series YuGiOh The Abridged Series, Jade Gatt and Ryan Lappin (former hosts of CheezTV) as well as local musical "Chiptunes" talents little-scale, xandox and others.

Featuring the best in Japanese animation and several tournaments and competitions, AVCon is the best place to see not only professional offerings but tonnes of Indie talent with our creative competitions and extensive presence of Holopoint Interactive and The Indie Games Room, which support upcoming game design studios.

AVCon hosts panels, screenings, a huge traders hall, an Artist Alley, Maid Cafe, dedicated children's area, gaming tournaments and freeplay gaming, a restricted mature-audience gaming area for MA15+ games.

Tickets available at BASS, Pulp Fiction Comics, Shin Tokyo and several GameTraders stores for a pre-registration price of $40. Tickets will be $50 if bought on the day of the event. Tickets are non-refundable.
