Wednesday, April 15th, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Hayward Main Library, 835 Ct. at Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. This month we will be discussing Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson. After a failed attempt to climb K2 in 1993 Greg Mortenson drifted into a village in the Karakoram mountains. Moved by the inhabitants' kindness he promised to return and build a school. Over the next decade Mortenson built not just one but fifty-five schools especially for girls in the forbidding terrain that gave birth to the Taliban.
