ABOUT ANTHONY ARTIS
Anthony Q. Artis has honed his skills as a straight up digital guerrilla in New York City for the past 15 years. He has worked professionally in positions as diverse as producer, gaffer, cinematographer, special-fx make up, sound mixer and location manager, to name a few. An NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate, Anthony has worked on a variety of documentary and narrative films on both coasts and toughed through more low-budget projects than he cares to admit. His feature films and tv shows have screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, the IFP Market, Slamdance, and on MTV and The Education Channel. Anthony has also organized numerous student film festivals and trained hundreds of aspiring guerrilla filmmakers through New York University, New York City's famed LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts and Baltimore County Public Schools. Anthony is presently an adjunct professor and Manager of the Film and TV Production Center at N.Y.U.'s Tisch School of the Arts where he coordinates the technical training and production equipment for all film and tv students. In this workshop, UK Filmmaker Rick Young focuses on how to effectively add and composite effects into an existing timeline via the use of transitions, filters and generators. Rick will show how to manipulate effects through keyframing and working with layers. Keyframing involves changing an effect over time.
