Tweedy’s debut novel, The Yonder Side of Sass and Texas, will be the featured reading and will also be available for purchase. Tweedy is a native of Murphysboro. In addition to her debut novel, published in 2009 by Southeast Missouri University Press, her poetry and fiction have been published in literary journals and anthologies and have received honors from Glimmer Train, the Southern Women Writers Conference, Alsop Review, New Millennium Writing, the Ray Bradbury Creative Writing Contest and Long Story Short. Upcoming engagements include a national book tour. The program is free and open to the public.
