It's a place where kangaroos live in trees, fish live in and out of the water, and insects grow to be as long as your hand. Welcome to Australasia -- Where Worlds Collide, Where Worlds Divide. 'Australasia' is a region of islands -- New Guinea, the Philippines, Indonesia, and the island continent of Australia. Every island stands in isolation, a unique ecosystem. Like the region of the world it represents, the exhibit showcases an incredible diversity of species in diverse habitats.
