Austin Boxer Rescue's 5th Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser July 21, 2012

On July 21st, 2012 Austin Boxer Rescue will have their 5th Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser. This is going to be one our largest fundraiser’s of the year and significantly impacts our ability to save dogs throughout the year. The money raised at this event will go directly to medical and boarding costs associated with rescuing these animals. With the current economic climate, Austin Boxer Rescue is faced with an increasing number of dogs that need our help – several times per week we are asked to rescue a boxer at risk of being euthenized. We currently have over 180 dogs in rescue and are limited to the number of dogs we can continue to save because of the expense.
Now more than ever, Austin Boxer Rescue must continue to advance its mission of rescuing dogs in need, treating all their immediate medical needs, and then fostering them until we can find them the right home through a very careful application and screening process. In the last six years we have rescued over 1800 dogs, more than any other pure breed rescue group in Central Texas. Our goal at Austin Boxer Rescue, which is staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers, is to continue to save these animals and create happy families.
