THE QUEEN OF KINDIE ROCK IS PUTTING ON THE LIGHTS AT MADSON SQUARE PARK
Join Audra Rox for the annual Christmas tree lighting in Manhattan's Madison Square Park

Manhattan, NY – December 2012 - Audra Rox, “Queen of the NY Kid Rock scene,” according to Time Out Kids, will be the master of ceremonies at this year’s tree lighting at Madison Square Park in midtown.

This is Audra’s 10 year celebration of the event and the centennial celebration of the first tree lighting in Madison Square! Beginning in 1912, Madison Square was home to the first public holiday tree in the nation. Every year Madison Square is honored to be the birthplace of this wonderful tradition and this year marks their centennial celebration of this momentous event.

Madison Square Park has created a history booth so you can learn more about the Tree of Light and visitors can become a part of the new tradition by making a wish on the wishing tree!

Please join Audra Rox and pull out your centennial hats for the celebration of Madison Square Holiday on December 4, 2012! Joining Audra at the ceremony will be The New York Life Singers and family fave, treats from Hill Country Barbecue Market, holiday crafting with MSPC, and much more.

Festivities start at 3:30pm with the Tree of Light ceremony commencing at 4:30pm.
