Audition for the Junior Youth or Honors Orchestras of Youth Music Monterey! August 28, 2010

Youth Music Monterey is now accepting applications for the 2010-11 season. Are you ready for some new and exciting music opportunities? Do you play a string, woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument? Then tryout for Youth Music Monterey! Membership is open by audition to students in Monterey County and beyond—from Salinas to Monterey, Seaside, Marina, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach and Carmel. The orchestras perform three concerts during the school year at the Sunset Center in Carmel as well as Sherwood Hall in Salinas. This is a great opportunity for serious musicians to receive the high-caliber training they need for success in school music, college and other adult pursuits. The groups study a variety of classical music, including modern composers. Auditions will be held at Monterey High School on 700 Pacific Street in Monterey on Saturday August 28, 2010 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
