Alumni and friends of The University of Auckland are invited to attend a complimentary reception in London on 24 May, 2007.

The reception which forms part of the Alumni and Friends Distinguished Speaker Series 2007, will feature distinguished Professor Peter Hunter speaking on "The Virtual Human Physiome Project".

Professor Hunter is the founding Director of the Bioengineering Institute and is well known for pioneering mathematical modelling of the human body, most notably the heart.

For more than 20 years he has headed the Physiome Project, an international consortium of linked research groups (including those in Oxford, MIT and the University of California) devoted to defining all aspects of human physiology, using databasing and computer modelling.
