Attention Facebook Haters!! October 20, 2008

Hate Facebook? Wouldn’t be caught dead on Facebook? Or are you on Facebook and hate the redesign, application spam, or those creepy “social ads” that invade your privacy? Do something about it!

This Monday, participate in a global experiment, the first ever, Global Facebook Flashmob, held this Monday, October 20 at 6 p.m. in various locations around the world.

What to do: Show up at the assigned location (see below) with anti-Facebook signs (Google Images for No Facebook or write slogans like Facebook Sucks), or dress up as one of their annoying applications (think: Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, Slayers or (Lil) Green Patch). At 6:15 p.m. throw sheep and start poking. At 6:20 p.m. disperse (keep it clean - leaving nothing behind!).

SF: Justin Herman Plaza, by the fountain
LA: Santa Monica Pier, under the arch
NYC: Union Square, North East Corner
London: Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Column

Schedule:
6:00 p.m. Arrive at destination
6:01 p.m. Unveil signs and start “protesting”
6:15 p.m. Start poking and throwing sheep
6:20 p.m. Disperse (keep it clean – leave nothing behind!)
