Maestro Earl Raney will lead the Atlantic Wind Symphony’s annual Spring Pops Concert as they conclude their tenth season featuring band classics by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Percy Grainger, David Holsinger, Clare Grundman, and Gordon Jacob. The second half of the concert features well-known songs: “Ol’ Man River,” “Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man,” “Make Believe,” “You Are Love,” and “Why Do I Love You” from Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein’s Showboat, which is considered one of the most influential musicals of the twentieth century. The concert will conclude with favorites by John Philip Sousa and Boston Pops’ composer Leroy Anderson.

The concert will take place on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Machlan Auditorium on the campus of Atlantic Union College, 338 Main Street, South Lancaster, Massachusetts.
