Atlanta's Downtown Countown- New Year's Eve Party December 31, 2008

Lindy Promotions, USA Entertainment, DaveFM, and Miller Lite today announced the 5th annual "Downtown Countdown New Year's Eve Gala" will return to the Hyatt Regency, Atlanta, and once again set the standard in live New Year's Eve entertainment. This year, The Hyatt Regency will be the one-stop destination for New Year's Eve festivities, complete with a 5 1/2-hour premium open bar, hors d'oeuvres, multiple rooms of entertainment including 5 bands, 4 DJs, 4 comedians, dancing, karaoke, and DC's largest midnight balloon drop.

"For four years, the Downtown Countdown has been the premier New Year's party in Atlanta," said Joe Hindsley, the Hyatt Regency's General Manger. "And this year, it will be even better. Party-goers can look forward to a night filled with exceptional food, tempting beverages, and great music."

This year will feature live performances by:

* Cracker (Alternative Rock long-time favorites)
* Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock (Old School Hip Hop Legends)
* Modern Skirts (Atlanta's very own up and comers)
* Metalsome Inc. (nationally renowned live band karaoke)

For those requiring something a little more special, Atlanta's Downtown Countdown will be offering an upscale, exclusive VIP ticket. Ticket holders will have access to the main VIP area located in The Hyatt's premier steakhouse, Avanzare, and private areas roped off in the main ballrooms. They will also enjoy more upscale dinner and bar menus, private will call, registration, and entrance, and complimentary coat check. A very limited number of tickets will be available and will sell quickly.

Tickets are currently on sale at $119 for the regular party and $175 for VIP, increasing as the event nears (see website for current rate.)
