Trying to decide if voice-overs is a career path for you? This Atlanta voice over class is just the ticket. Unlike many Atlanta voice over classes, this one is taught by Lori Nelson, a professional casting director that is responsible for actually hiring voice talent.

Lori gives you a real "insider's view" of the world of voice overs. She covers the realities of the Atlanta market, what type of work is available and even gives you a chance to read from actual scripts that were used for commercials.

Voice overs training is also good for people that need to have command of their voice, including but not limited to: speakers, physicians, sales professionals, managers, teachers, psychologists and ministers. If you know anyone that feels like they have a weak voice, this is a great way to give them confidence of making a change.
This class covers some basic techniques of using your voice as an instrument, including the importance of posture, modulating your vocal pitch.

I attended this class in the past and really learned a lot about controlling my voice. What was more telling was Lori's insight as a casting director about the business side of voice overs. She shoots straight and gives real perspective.

Although I took some interesting things from this class, she spent a lot of time trying to sell herself and come off as being a true professional. I attempted to reference her credentials on IMDB and the only thing I could about casting under her name (or someone with the same name), was a casting assistant, which is basically a secretary. The only thing I have been able to verify her being a "director" of, is a small play here in Atlanta. 99.00 isn't bad, but I would have spent the money on some private lessons I found elsewhere if I had to do it all over again.
