Atlanta Ballet: Fusion March 25, 2011

The evening begins with Lambarena, a blending of traditional African rhythms and dance with melodic passages from Johann Sebastian Bach. It's an emotion-filled work in eight movements that boldly merges the sights and sounds of classical ballet with African dance. In addition, experience the expressive world premiere The Rite of Spring by Christopher Hampson, who created the stylish and exhilarating Sinfonietta Giocosa for Atlanta Ballet, and Petal by Helen Pickett.
