Atelier d'Artistes - the artist's studio. What better place to watch children create art inspired by the work of Flo Oy Wong. Ms Wong will be the featured speaker at the 4th annual fundraiser benefiting the Art in Action programs which bring quality art into the schools in our Bay Area communities. The event theme is Art Tells a Story and will include the works of M Wong, the young students from the St. Elizabeth Seton school in Palo Alto, and the participation of all guests at the event who will create a small piece of art for display on a large mural at the event. This display will become part of next year's 30th anniversary celebration of Art in Action.

This event will help Art in Action raise the funds needed to continue to bring quality education to schools in the Bay Area. The Art in Action curriculum is consistently praised for empowering teachers and parents to teach art, by providing detailed, easy-to-follow directions for guiding successful discussions and projects. The lessons enhance student creativity and innovative thinking, and appeal to different learning styles. The curriculum meets national and state academic standards and integrates with language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The use of innovative multimedia technology in the online curriculum provides educators with new opportunities in K-8 art education.
