Being accessible to the people I represent in the State Assembly is my priority. That is why I regularly hold community coffee meetings throughout my district to provide an open forum to talk to my constituents about state issues at a time and place that is convenient for them.

This year, I am beginning a new outreach program to better serve the residents of this community. Over the next several months, my district office will be holding mobile districts in community centers, libraries, and other public venues throughout District 24. The mobile districts will allow me to assist people who are having difficulty navigating the complex network of state departments and agencies. Additionally, I’ll be distributing useful resource guides on a wide range of topics, including unemployment assistance, identity theft, and affordable housing.

My next mobile district is scheduled for Wednesday, March 9th, from 3pm to 6pm at the Willow Glen Library. My staff looks forward to assisting you and listening to your opinions about state issues including the budget.

If you are interested in learning more about the written materials and resources I have available, please contact me. I am happy to provide you with a variety of helpful brochures and guides for gathering places in your neighborhood, and my staff can let you know which resources may best suit your needs.

It is my hope the mobile districts will bring help to people who may not otherwise visit my downtown district office. If you cannot make this meeting, please keep up with all of my community events at www.assembly.ca.gov/beall, where you can sign up for my monthly newsletter. And you can always phone my office at (408) 282-8920 if you need help with a state-related issue or if you have questions about my legislation or my priorities for the coming year.

Best regards,

Jim Beall, Jr.
