Lush, ethereal, tight, and poignant. Asobi Seksu, which means "playful sex" in Japanese, combines English and Japanese vocals to create soaring textured rock that eschews the standard verse/chorus/verse formula. Paying specific homage to My Bloody Valentine and the beautiful bending guitars of their early 90's contemporaries, Asobi Sesku adds their own pop explosions to create something wonderfully new to a borrowed sound.
